I put my hand up to promote CatVideoFest 2026 because it’s just so much fun.

‘Since its North American launch in 2019, it has become a beloved, annual, worldwide event, raising more than $1Million USD in contributions for cats in need through partnerships with animal welfare organisations, charities, and shelters around the world, whilst also helping support adoptions, fostering, volunteer sign-ups and community engagement.’

I’m a fan.  I have a fur baby at home: Biddie-Fluff.  And I love her to bits.

So, if you’re a cat lover like me, it’s a hoot watching all these carefully selected cat videos all in one place.

Because there are so many cat videos out there, CatVideoFest is shown in categories (ha, ha, see what I did there?) including: Drama (and being hunted by a cat for sport), Action / Adrenaline (with Ed learning how to skateboard), Documentary (‘love my little lamp’), Cat GIFs (so many I had tears in my eyes from laughter), Art (and a cat’s journey to self-discovery); and of course, Comedy (yes, cats can look like Dracula).

It’s hard to pick, but my favourite has to be the tortoiseshell girl who’s obsessed with her cone of shame, still playing with the plastic cone and re-fitting the collar just for fun.  Hilarious.

So go out there and pick your favourite (did I mention the cat complaining about their human not wearing pants?!) and have a good time celebrating the strangely loveable and adorable cats.
